How To Make Roasted Garlic Chicken Pizza

Four minutes of prep are all you need to make this garlic chicken pizza. An herbed cream base is topped with lots of cheese, garlic, chicken, & onions.

Ingredients

  • 2headsgarlic,(whole), roasted
  • 1pizza crust,homemade or store bought
  • ½cupPhiladelphia Italian herb & cheese cooking creme
  • 3cupschicken,cooked and shredded
  • red onions,or white onions, sliced
  • 2cupsMonterrey Jack,or Mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1handfulItalian parsley,finely-chopped

Instructions

  1. Begin by roasting the head(s) of garlic. Peel off the outer papery covering of the head of garlic. Using a sharp knife, slice off ½ -inch of the tops of the cloves, so that the inside of each clove is exposed.

  2. Place the head on a square of aluminum foil. Drizzle the olive oil over the top of the cloves, and spread it around well.

  3. Fold up the foil over the top of the clove, so that it is fully enclosed. Either place the pouch directly on the oven rack, or place it on a pan.

  4. Bake at 400 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes, until the garlic is soft and lightly browned. Once it is ready and cooled to room temperature, carefully squeeze the garlic cloves out of the skin and set aside.

  5. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (or the temperature specified on the pizza crust, if storebought).

  6. Lay pizza crust on a floured work surface. Spread the top with the Philadelphia brand Cooking Creme, leaving a 1-inch border for the crust.

  7. Sprinkle evenly with shredded chicken, onions, roasted garlic cloves, and about half of the chopped parsley. Top evenly with cheese.

  8. Transfer to a pizza baking sheet and bake at 425 degrees F degrees for 12 to 16 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the crust is golden brown.

  9. Remove pizza and let cool for 5 minutes before slicing. Garnish with the remaining chopped parsley, and serve.
