This original Mcdonald's cheeseburger recipe is a quick and easy snack to make if you're craving for fast food.

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • ¼ cup yellow onion, minced
  • salt and ground black pepper, to season
  • 4 slices American cheese
  • cooking spray

For Burger Assembly:

  • 4 pcs hamburger bun
  • 4 tbsp ketchup
  • 4 tbsp prepared yellow mustard
  • 4 oz dill pickle

For Serving:

  • ¼ cup potato fries, per serving


  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine your beef and onion. Season with salt and pepper, then mix until evenly incorporated.

  2. Portion these into 4 oz patties, using a round mold to shape.

  3. Preheat your griddle ready for grilling. Grease with cooking spray. Preheat your oven also to 360 degrees F.

  4. Grill the patties for roughly 5 to 8 minutes per side.

  5. Place 1 slice of American cheese on each patty, then roast to evenly cook the patties and melt the cheese, roughly 3 to 5 minutes.

  6. Clean your griddle and place heat up your burger buns on the griddle. Once done, you can now assemble your cheeseburger.

  7. Place roughly 1 tablespoon ketchup on either half of the bun, and roughly 1 tablespoon mustard on the other half of the bun.

  8. Place the patty on the bottom bun, followed by roughly 1-ounce pickle slices.

  9. Cover with the top bun and serve with potato fries.
