How To Make Moist Banana Bread

You can never go wrong with moist and dense banana bread for an easy and luscious baked treat. Bananas and sour cream are combined for a fluffy loaf.

  • 1cupbananas,mashed
  • 1cupsour cream
  • ¼cupmargarine
  • 1⅓cupswhite sugar
  • 2eggs
  • 1tspvanilla extract
  • 2cupsall purpose flour
  • 1tspbaking soda
  • 1tspbaking powder
  • ¼tspsalt


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour 1 9×13-inch pan, or 2 7×3-inch loaf pans.

  2. Combine banana and sour cream. Set aside. In a large bowl, cream together the margarine and sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs 1 at a time, then stir in the vanilla and banana mixture.

  3. Combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt; stir into the banana mixture. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan or pans.

  4. Bake for 50 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the bread comes out clean.

  5. Serve and enjoy.
