My husband simply loves when I make this meatloaf for him. I don’t know what it is, maybe it is all the delicious veggies or the oatmeal I add, either way he loves it and so do I!


How To Make Easy Homemade Meatloaf Recipe

This recipe takes a little under an hour a half but it's definitely worth the wait! Despite its name, this would certainly top anyone's favorites dishes to munch on after a long day. Delicately juicy and flavorful meatloaf with delicious bits of green peppers, garlic and onions, then seasoned with catsup and worcestershire for a familiar taste.

Total: 1 hr 20 mins
Serves:

Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ground meat, or combination of chicken, turkey, ham or ground beef.
  • 2 eggs , or egg substitute
  • 1/4 cup onions, diced
  • 1/4 cup green peppers, diced
  • 1/2 cup quick oatmeal
  • 1/4 cup catsup
  • 2 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp. worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp. lemon pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients and form a loaf.
  2. Top with a little more catsup and cover with bacon slices.
  3. Bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes.
  4. This could also be made into meatballs and covered with BBQ sauce.
  5. Then you would bake for about 1/2 hr.
