How To Make Chicago Style Stuffed Pizza

Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 pound mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 pound Italian sausage, cooked and crumbled
- 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni
- 1 1/2 cups marinara sauce
Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.

Gradually add the warm water and olive oil, mixing until a sticky dough forms.

Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes, until smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).

Punch down the dough and divide it in half.

Roll out one half of the dough to fit the bottom and sides of a deep-dish pizza pan.

Layer half of the mozzarella cheese, sausage, pepperoni, and marinara sauce on top of the dough.

Roll out the remaining dough and place it on top, sealing the edges to enclose the filling.

Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
