How To Make Smoked Brisket

Ingredients
- 4 lbs of brisket
- 2 tbsp of kosher salt
- 2 tbsp of black pepper
- 1 tbsp of paprika
- 1 tbsp of garlic powder
- 1 tbsp of onion powder
- 1 tsp of cayenne pepper
- Wood chips (hickory or mesquite) for smoking
Instructions

Preheat your smoker to 225°F.

In a small bowl, combine the kosher salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper to make a rub.

Pat the brisket dry with a paper towel and generously apply the rub all over the brisket.

Place the brisket on the smoker, fat side up, and close the lid.

Smoke the brisket for 6-8 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 195°F.

Remove the brisket from the smoker and wrap it tightly in foil. Let it rest for 1 hour.

Slice the brisket against the grain and serve.
