Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup grated onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, grated onion, garlic, parsley, salt, black pepper, oregano, and basil. Mix well.

  3. Transfer the mixture to a loaf pan and shape into a loaf.

  4. In a small bowl, mix together ketchup, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce. Spread the sauce over the meatloaf.

  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour or until cooked through.

  6. Let the meatloaf rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
