How To Make Shaved Beef and Rice Casserole Recipe

A comforting casserole made with tender shaved beef, rice, and warm spices.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb shaved beef
  • 1 cup uncooked white rice
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.

  2. In a large oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.

  3. Add shaved beef and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.

  4. In the same skillet, sauté onion and garlic until softened, about 3 minutes.

  5. Add rice, thyme, paprika, salt, and black pepper and stir to coat.

  6. Add beef broth and bring to a boil.

  7. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 18-20 minutes, or until rice is cooked.

  8. Return beef to skillet and stir to combine.

  9. Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes.

  10. Garnish with chopped parsley, if desired, and serve hot.
