Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 carrot, diced
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cups mashed potatoes
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.

  3. Add the onion, garlic, and carrot to the skillet. Cook until the vegetables are softened.

  4. Stir in the frozen peas, beef broth, tomato paste, and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer for 5 minutes.

  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  6. Transfer the beef mixture to a baking dish. Spread the mashed potatoes evenly over the top.

  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the mashed potatoes are golden and the filling is bubbly.

  8. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
