Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 burger buns
  • 4 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 4 potatoes, sliced into chips
  • vegetable oil, for frying
  • salt, to taste
  • ketchup, mustard, and other desired toppings

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or stovetop pan.

  2. In a bowl, mix the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder until well combined. Form into 4 patties.

  3. Cook the burgers for about 4-5 minutes per side until desired doneness. During the last minute of cooking, top each burger with a slice of cheddar cheese.

  4. While the burgers are cooking, heat vegetable oil in a deep pan or fryer. Fry the potato chips until golden and crispy. Remove from oil and sprinkle with salt.

  5. Serve the cheeseburgers on toasted buns, topped with desired condiments, and alongside the crispy chips.
