Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced thinly
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 green onions, sliced for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat.

  2. Add the beef slices and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove beef from skillet and set aside.

  3. In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil.

  4. Add garlic and ginger and stir-fry for 1 minute until fragrant.

  5. Add bell peppers and onion, and stir-fry for an additional 2 minutes until veggies are tender-crisp.

  6. Return the beef to the skillet and add hoisin sauce, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Stir-fry for another 2 minutes until beef is fully coated in the sauce.

  7. Garnish with sliced green onions and serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.
