  • 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 8 small flour tortillas
  • 1/2 cup chopped onions
  • 1/2 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 lime, cut into wedges


  1. In a bowl, combine minced garlic, soy sauce, lime juice, cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

  2. Place the thinly sliced flank steak in a ziplock bag and pour the marinade over it. Seal the bag and let the steak marinate in the fridge for at least 1 hour.

  3. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated steak and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness. Remove from heat and let it rest for a few minutes.

  4. Warm the flour tortillas in a skillet or microwave.

  5. To assemble the tacos, place a few slices of cooked carne asada on each tortilla. Top with chopped onions, chopped cilantro, sour cream, and a squeeze of fresh lime juice.

  6. Serve hot and enjoy!
