Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 4 burger buns
  • 4 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 1 large sweet potato
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or stovetop grill pan.

  2. In a bowl, mix together the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Shape into 4 patties.

  3. Grill the burgers for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness.

  4. While the burgers are cooking, preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

  5. Cut the sweet potato into thin strips to resemble chips.

  6. In a large bowl, toss the sweet potato strips with olive oil, chili powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.

  7. Spread the sweet potato strips on a baking sheet and bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until crispy.

  8. Toast the burger buns on the grill for a minute or two.

  9. Assemble the burgers with the cooked patties, cheese slices, and any desired toppings.

  10. Serve the beef burgers with the sweet potato chilli chips on the side.
