Ingredients

  • 1 pound (450g) prawns, peeled and deveined
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.

  2. Place the prawns in a separate bowl and sprinkle with the spice mixture. Toss to coat the prawns evenly.

  3. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan or skillet over medium-high heat.

  4. Dredge the prawns in flour, shaking off any excess.

  5. Fry the prawns in batches until crispy and golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.

  6. Serve the salt and pepper prawns hot, garnished with fresh cilantro and lemon wedges.
