How To Make Salmon Meuniere

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper on both sides.

  2. Dredge the fillets in flour, shaking off any excess.

  3. In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter with the olive oil over medium-high heat.

  4. Place the salmon fillets in the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked through and crispy.

  5. Remove the fillets from the skillet and set aside.

  6. In the same skillet, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter.

  7. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.

  8. Add the lemon juice and cook for an additional 2 minutes.

  9. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped parsley.

  10. Pour the lemon and butter sauce over the salmon fillets and serve immediately.
