How To Make Portuguese Shrimp Recipe

  • 1 lb (450g) of shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp of olive oil
  • 1 tsp of paprika
  • 1 tsp of dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp of red pepper flakes
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)


  1. In a large bowl, combine the shrimp, garlic, olive oil, paprika, oregano, red pepper flakes, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Mix well to coat the shrimp evenly.

  2. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.

  3. Thread the shrimp onto skewers, making sure to leave space in between each shrimp.

  4. Grill the shrimp skewers for 2-3 minutes per side or until they turn pink and opaque.

  5. Remove the skewers from the grill and garnish with fresh parsley.

  6. Serve hot and enjoy!
