How To Make Mussel Mouclade Pasta

Ingredients
- 1 lb linguine pasta
- 2 lbs fresh mussels, cleaned and debearded
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 shallot, minced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup white wine
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions

Cook the linguine according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the shallot and garlic and sauté until fragrant.

Add the mussels to the pot and pour in the white wine. Cover and cook for about 5 minutes, until the mussels have opened. Discard any mussels that do not open.

Remove the mussels from the pot and set aside. Stir in the heavy cream, Dijon mustard, and smoked paprika. Simmer for a few minutes until the sauce thickens.

Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste. Add the cooked linguine and toss to coat in the sauce.

Serve the pasta in bowls, topped with the cooked mussels. Garnish with fresh parsley.
