How To Make Lemon Cod with Basil Bean Mash

  • 4 cod fillets
  • 2 lemons
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup of fresh basil leaves
  • 1 can of white beans, drained and rinsed
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil


  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. Season the cod fillets with salt, pepper, and the juice of 1 lemon.

  3. Place the cod fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

  4. Meanwhile, in a food processor, combine the basil leaves, white beans, garlic, juice of 1 lemon, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Blend until smooth.

  5. Serve the lemon cod on top of the basil bean mash, and garnish with a sprinkle of fresh basil leaves.
