  • 8 oz pasta shells
  • 2 cans (5 oz each) tuna, drained
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta shells according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.

  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes, until lightly golden.

  3. Gradually whisk in the milk, making sure there are no lumps. Cook for 3-4 minutes, until the mixture begins to thicken.

  4. Stir in the cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, and garlic powder until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  5. Add the drained tuna and cooked pasta to the skillet, stirring gently to combine. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until heated through.

  6. Serve the Cheesy Tuna Mornay hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
