How To Make Bacon Brown Sugar Garlic Shrimp

Bacon Brown Sugar Garlic Shrimp is a perfect weeknight dinner meal made with simple ingredients. Bacon, shrimp, and garlic cooked in a skillet until done.

  • 8bacon slices
  • ¾tspkosher salt
  • ½tspblack pepper
  • 2lbsshrimp,peeled and deveined (15 to 20 pieces)
  • 3tbspgarlic,minced
  • 2tbspwater
  • cupbrown sugar,packed
  • parsley,optional


  1. Cook the bacon in a large cast-iron skillet until chewy but crispy, leaving a couple of tablespoons of the fat behind after removing the bacon.

  2. In a large bowl, add the salt, pepper, and shrimp then mix until combined.

  3. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 1 to 2 minutes on each side before removing from the pan.

  4. Add the garlic in and cook for 30 seconds before adding the water and the brown sugar then bring it to a boil.

  5. Add the shrimp back in to coat and sprinkle the bacon pieces over the shrimp along with parsley before serving.
