Ingredients

  • 1 bunch of asparagus
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 lb brown shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Trim the woody ends of the asparagus and rinse them under cold water.

  2. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.

  3. Stir in the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

  4. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat.

  5. Brush the asparagus spears with the spiced butter mixture.

  6. Grill the asparagus for about 5 minutes, turning occasionally, until tender and lightly charred.

  7. While the asparagus is grilling, heat a separate skillet over medium heat.

  8. Add the brown shrimp to the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes, until they turn pink and opaque.

  9. Remove the asparagus from the grill and arrange on a serving platter.

  10. Place the cooked brown shrimp on top of the asparagus.

  11. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
