Ingredients

  • 1 can of black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 cup of chorizo, diced
  • 1/4 cup of breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup of onions, finely chopped
  • 1 clove of garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp of cumin
  • 1/2 tsp of paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Toppings of choice (lettuce, tomato, avocado, etc.)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, mash the black beans with a fork.

  2. In a skillet, cook the chorizo until it is browned and crispy. Remove from heat and let it cool.

  3. In a large bowl, combine the mashed black beans, cooked chorizo, breadcrumbs, onions, garlic, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

  4. Form the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties.

  5. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium heat. Cook the burgers for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are firm and cooked through.

  6. Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in the oven.

  7. Assemble the burgers with your choice of toppings.

  8. Serve and enjoy!
