Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 4 cups cooked white rice
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • Green onions, thinly sliced (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together the ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Form the mixture into four patties.

  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the hamburger patties until they reach your desired doneness.

  3. In a separate pan, fry the eggs sunny-side up or over-easy.

  4. In the same skillet used for the patties, combine the beef broth, cornstarch, and soy sauce. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook until it thickens into a gravy-like consistency.

  5. To serve, place a scoop of rice on each plate, followed by a hamburger patty. Top with a fried egg and drizzle the gravy over everything. Garnish with sliced green onions.
