Ingredients

  • 8ozspaghetti,(1 package) dried
  • ½cupextra-virgin olive oil
  • 4garlic scapes,tops trimmed, stems finely chopped
  • 3tbspfresh parsley,chopped
  • salt and ground black pepper,to taste
  • 1tbspparmesan cheese,freshly grated

Instructions

  1. Fill a large pot with lightly salted water and bring to a rolling boil. Stir in spaghetti and return to a boil.

  2. Cook uncovered, stirring occasionally for 9 to 11 minutes until tender yet firm to the bite. Drain.

  3. Heat the olive oil in a deep skillet until hot.

  4. Remove from heat and add the garlic scapes. Let stand for 3 minutes.

  5. Mix in the parsley. Season with salt and pepper.

  6. Serve over drained spaghetti sprinkled with Parmesan cheese.
