  • 1 pound linguine
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook linguine according to package directions until al dente; drain.

  2. Meanwhile, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

  3. Add the garlic and sauté for 1 minute.

  4. Add crushed tomatoes, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.

  5. Reduce heat to low and add heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, stirring to combine.

  6. When the sauce is heated through, add the cooked pasta and toss together.
