How To Make Penne Pasta with Marinara Sauce

This classic Italian dish is a perfect combination of wholesome penne and fresh homemade marinara sauce.

  • 400g penne pasta
  • 4 cups of marinara sauce
  • 2 tbsp of olive oil
  • 1 tsp of dried oregano
  • 1/4 tsp of red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnishing


  1. Cook the penne pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  2. Heat the olive oil in a pan and add the dried oregano and red pepper flakes.

  3. Pour the marinara sauce into the pan and stir well. Simmer for 5-7 minutes until the sauce thickens.

  4. Add salt and pepper to taste.

  5. Now, add the penne pasta to the sauce and toss until the sauce evenly coats the pasta.

  6. Garnish with fresh basil leaves and serve hot.
