How To Make Cheese & Tomato Macaroni with Chipolatas

Ingredients

  • 8 chipolatas
  • 300g macaroni
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 400g canned diced tomatoes
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 250g grated cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

  2. Cook the chipolatas in a large pan over medium heat until browned. Set aside.

  3. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  4. In the same pan, heat the olive oil and sauté the onion and garlic until tender.

  5. Add the canned diced tomatoes, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 5 minutes.

  6. Add the cooked macaroni to the tomato mixture and stir well to combine.

  7. Place half of the macaroni mixture in a greased baking dish.

  8. Arrange the cooked chipolatas on top.

  9. Sprinkle half of the grated cheddar cheese over the chipolatas.

  10. Repeat layers with the remaining macaroni mixture and cheese.

  11. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  12. Serve hot and enjoy!
