How To Make Avocado Basil Pasta

Creamy avocados balance out the sharp flavors of this basil pasta. It has bacon and tomato and is best served along with barbecues.

  • 8ozdried bow tie pasta,and/or wagon wheel pasta
  • 2medium avocados,halved, seeded, peeled, and coarsely chopped
  • 2medium ripe tomatoes,roughly chopped
  • 6slicesbacon,crisp cooked, drained, and crumbled
  • cupfresh basil,chopped
  • 2tbsplemon juice
  • 1tbspolive oil
  • 3clovesgarlic,minced
  • ¼tspground black pepper
  • tspsalt
  • ½cupparmesan cheese,shredded


  1. Cook the pasta according to package directions. Rinse and set aside.

  2. In a large bowl combine the avocados, tomatoes, bacon, basil, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic pepper and salt. Add the pasta and toss to combine.

  3. Transfer to a serving bowl and sprinkle with cheese.
