How To Make Savory Sausage Pancakes

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 8 cooked breakfast sausages, sliced

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and black pepper.

  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, and vegetable oil.

  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.

  4. Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease with cooking spray or butter.

  5. Pour 1/4 cup of the pancake batter onto the skillet for each pancake.

  6. Place a few slices of cooked sausage onto each pancake.

  7. Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until bubbles form on the surface of the pancake.

  8. Flip the pancake and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the pancake is cooked through and golden brown.

  9. Repeat with the remaining batter and sausages.

  10. Serve the Savory Sausage Pancakes warm with syrup or your preferred toppings.
