  • 2 cups warm water
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  3. Knead the dough for a few minutes until smooth and elastic.

  4. Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and shape each portion into a ball.

  5. Flatten each ball to form a thick disc, about 1/2 inch thick.

  6. Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.

  7. Cook the arepas in the skillet for about 10 minutes on each side, until golden brown and crispy.

  8. Serve warm and enjoy!
