How To Make Chocolate Cake Pancake

This chocolatey chocolate cake pancake is made with a brownie mix and applesauce then drizzled with vanilla cream soup for a sweeter taste.

  • 2cupsBetty Crocker Brownie Mix
  • 1tspbaking powder
  • 4tbspbutter,melted
  • 2tbspapplesauce
  • 2eggs,large
  • ¼cupbuttermilk
  • ¼cupmilk
  • 1tspvanilla extract
  • vanilla cream syrup,for serving
  • 1banana,sliced, or strawberries slices, for serving


  1. Preheat a non-stick griddle to 350 degrees F.

  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together 2 cups of brownie mix and baking powder. Add in melted butter, applesauce, eggs, buttermilk, milk, and vanilla then stir until combine.

  3. Pour 3 tablespoons of the mixture onto the non-stick griddle.

  4. Cook pancakes for several minutes until tiny bubbles start to appear on the surface, then carefully flip and cook opposite side only about 30 seconds to 1 minute.

  5. Serve warm with Vanilla Cream Syrup or your preferred toppings.
