A quick and simple recipe for salmon steak fillets with a wonderful maple and thyme glaze. It is a well rounded dish with the decadent flakes of salmon, along with the herbed maple glaze, then with a slight kick from horseradish and mustard.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup country-style Dijon mustard
  • 4 ½ tbsp pure maple syrup
  • 3 ½ tbsp water
  • 2 tbsp prepared horseradish
  • 6 salmon fillets
  • 1 ½ tbsp golden brown sugar, packed
  • 1 ½ tbsp fresh thyme, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Whisk mustard 3 tablespoons of maple syrup, 3 ½ tablespoons of water and horseradish in small bowl to blend.

  2. Arrange salmon on baking sheet.
  3. Whisk 1 ½ tablespoons of maple syrup, sugar, and thyme in another small bowl to blend.

  4. Spread thyme mixture evenly over salmon.
  5. Bake until salmon is just opaque in center, about 14 minutes.
  6. Transfer salmon to plates.
  7. Spoon mustard-horseradish sauce over and serve.
