How To Make Baked Halibut Recipe

Delicious and healthy halibut baked to perfection with lemon-garlic butter.

  • 4 6-ounce halibut fillets
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 4 lemon slices
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish


  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F.

  2. Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  3. Arrange halibut fillets on the baking sheet and brush with melted butter.

  4. Add minced garlic over the fillets evenly.

  5. Squeeze lemon juice over each fillet and season with salt and pepper.

  6. Add one lemon slice on each fillet.

  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes until cooked through.

  8. Sprinkle chopped parsley over fillets before serving.
