Texas Roadhouse Prime Rib Recipe (Copycat)

How To Make Texas Roadhouse Prime Rib (Copycat)

This copycat Texas Roadhouse prime rib recipe is perfect for meat lovers. You get flavorful, succulent meat with just minimal ingredients.

Prep: 15 mins
Cook: 2 hrs 30 mins
Total: 2 hrs 45 mins

  • 1 ribeye, whole, uncut, (about 12 oz. per person)

For Marinade:

  • 2 tbsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • ½ cup kosher salt
  • ¼ cup garlic, (chopped)
  • ¼ cup liquid smoke
  • ¼ cup soy sauce

  1. The first step is to make the marinade. Prepare this two days in advance. To make, mix all ingredients for marinade.

  2. Mix well until combined and refrigerate overnight. This allows enough time to integrate all those wonderful flavors together.

  3. The second step is to marinade the ribeye. Place the prime rib on a rack in a large pan. Pour half the marinade over the top side and rub it all over.

  4. Next, flip the meat over, pour the rest of the marinade, and rub all over. Cover the pan and refrigerate overnight.

  5. Preheat your oven to 450 degrees F. Bake the meat for 30 minutes just until the outside of the meat is brown and seared.

  6. Then, lower the heat to 250 degrees F. Continue baking for another two hours or until the meat thermometer says 120 degrees F (medium-rare).

  7. Give meat at least an hour to rest before slicing. This will give the juices time to settle in the meat, resulting in an even juicier and tastier prime rib.

  8. Slice and enjoy.
