How To Make Baked Catfish Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 catfish fillets
  • 1 tbsp of paprika
  • 1/2 tsp of garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp of onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp of dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp of dried thyme
  • 1/4 tsp of cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp of salt
  • 1/4 tsp of black pepper
  • 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup of cornmeal
  • 1/4 cup of vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.

  2. In a bowl, combine paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, thyme, cayenne pepper, salt and black pepper.

  3. Place the flour in a shallow dish, beat the eggs in another shallow dish, and place the cornmeal in a third shallow dish.

  4. Coat each catfish fillet with flour, dip in the beaten eggs, then dredge in the cornmeal mixture.

  5. Grease a baking dish with vegetable oil and place the catfish fillets in it.

  6. Bake for 20 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and crispy.
