How To Make Hotdog pasties with sticky onions

Ingredients
- 1 sheet of puff pastry
- 4 hotdog sausages
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 1 tablespoon of brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

Roll out the puff pastry sheet and cut it into 4 equal squares.

Place a hotdog sausage in the center of each square and fold the pastry over to enclose the sausage. Pinch the edges to seal.

Place the pasties on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook until they become soft and caramelized, about 10 minutes.

Sprinkle the brown sugar over the onions and continue to cook for another 2 minutes until the sugar has melted and the onions are sticky.

Remove the skillet from the heat and stir in the Dijon mustard. Season with salt and pepper.

Spoon the sticky onion mixture over the hotdog pasties.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and crisp.
