How To Make Easy Lime Chicken

This simple lime chicken dish tastes fresh and refreshing and you can do it in less than an hour! Serve this with rice for the best experience.

Ingredients

  • 2lbsJust Bare chicken thighs,boneless or bone-in
  • ½cupfreshly squeezed lime juice
  • 2garlic cloves,minced
  • 1tbspWorchestershire sauce
  • 1tspsalt
  • 1tspblack pepper
  • 2tbspbutter,melted
  • lime zest,about two limes
  • ½cupfresh cilantro,chopped
  • lime wedges,for garnish

Instructions

  1. Add chicken thighs, lime juice, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper to a large ziplock bag.

  2. Seal and toss to combine ingredients until the chicken is evenly coated. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 8 hours.

  3. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F and grease a baking dish with cooking spray.

  4. Remove chicken from the bag with a slotted spoon, reserving the marinade, and arrange in a single layer in the baking dish.

  5. Brush chicken with melted butter, and season with additional salt and pepper if desired. Bake for about 20 minutes, then remove and brush chicken with the reserved marinade.

  6. Bake for an additional 20 to 30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the juices run clear. Remove and sprinkle chicken with lime zest and fresh cilantro.

  7. Serve over rice or quinoa garnished with lime wedges.

Recipe Notes

Alternatively, chicken thighs can also be substituted with chicken breasts or legs.
