How To Make Bourbon Baked Beans

Ingredients

  • 5 slices bacon
  • 2 large onions, diced
  • 16 oz each pork and beans, drained
  • 1 cup brown sugar, firmly
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • ¾ cup bourbon
  • ½ cup molasses
  • 2 tbsp dry mustard
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

  2. In large Dutch oven, cook bacon over medium heat until cooked but not crisp.
  3. Drain on paper towels; set aside.
  4. Add onions to drippings in skillet.
  5. Sauté over medium heat until translucent.
  6. Add remaining ingredients.
  7. Bring to a simmer, stirring to combine.
  8. Pour into 4 qt. casserole.
  9. Top with bacon.
  10. Bake, uncovered, 2 to 2 ½ hours.
