How To Make Baked Beans With Ground Beef

Nothing says Southern deliciousness better than this baked beans with ground beef dish! Each bite offers the perfect hint of barbecue.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans Busch’s Southern Pit Barbecue Baked Beans
  • ½ lb ground beef
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ cup dark brown sugar
  • ½ small sweet onion, diced in small pieces, cooked
  • 1 medium green bell pepper, diced in small pieces, cooked
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 2 tsp yellow mustard, prepared

For Topping:

  • 2 slices bacon, halved

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Cook ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Set meat aside. Chop onion and green bell pepper in very small pieces.

  2. Cook onion and green bell pepper over medium heat with 1 tablespoon of olive oil for 4 to 5 minutes.

  3. In a medium baking dish combine the cooked ground beef, onion, and green bell pepper with all remaining ingredients. Stir until ingredients are thoroughly combined. Top the beans with the uncooked bacon and place into oven.

  4. Bake for 45 minutes. Stir the baked beans halfway through the baking time. Remove, discard the bacon and let stand for 5 minutes. Serve and enjoy.
