These bacon wrapped dates are elegant appetizers for the holiday season. The sweet flavors of dates complement the bacons’ succulent and meaty flavor.

  • 24datespitted
  • 12slicesbaconcut in half
  • almondsor blue cheese, optional fillings
  • ¼cupmaple syrup
  • 1tbspSriracha

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with foil and place a rack on the baking sheet.

  2. Cut a small slice in each date and fill with 1 almond or 1 teaspoon cheese.

  3. Wrap bacon around each date and secure with a toothpick.

  4. Combine maple syrup and sriracha. Brush over bacon.

  5. Bake for 20 to 24 minutes or until bacon is crisp turning after 10 minutes.
