How To Make Bacon and Fruit Kabobs

Kabobs are simply meat stacked with fruits or vegetables often served as appetizers. In this recipe, we are making kabob with crispy bacon and tasty fruits.

Preparation: 10 minutes
Cooking: 12 minutes
Total: 22 minutes

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1lbbacon
  • 2lbsmixed berries
  • 36bamboo skewers
  • ¼cupwater
  • 1tbspsugar
  • 1tbsplemon juice
  • 1tspminced mint,optional

Instructions

  1. Soak your bamboo used for the bacon for an hour or so.

  2. Thread the bacon onto the skewers.

  3. For the best look I usually make it pretty wavy, this also prevents the bacon from sitting completely in the rendered fat.

  4. Line your baking sheet with parchment paper and put the skewers on the sheet.

  5. Without preheating, put the bacon in the oven.

  6. Turn the oven to 400 degrees F and set your timer for 12 minutes.

  7. The bacon will take anywhere from 12 to 15 minutes to cook, careful not to burn.

  8. For the berries, mix the water, sugar, lemon juice, and mint and toss the berries in it.

  9. Skewer as you wish on the bamboo sticks.
