Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons grated orange zest
  • 2 tablespoons orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons orange liqueur
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, for cooking
  • 2 tablespoons sugar, for sprinkling
  • Vanilla ice cream, for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, and salt.

  2. In a separate bowl, combine the milk, water, melted butter, orange zest, orange juice, and orange liqueur.

  3. Gradually whisk the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until smooth.

  4. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add 1/2 tablespoon of butter.

  5. Pour 1/4 cup of batter into the skillet and swirl to coat the bottom. Cook for about 2 minutes, until the edges start to brown and the crêpe is set.

  6. Flip the crêpe and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes. Remove from the skillet and keep warm.

  7. Repeat with the remaining batter, adding butter to the skillet as needed.

  8. Sprinkle each crêpe with sugar and fold in half, then fold again to form a triangle.

  9. In the same skillet, heat the remaining butter over medium heat.

  10. Add the folded crêpes and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown.

  11. Remove from the skillet and transfer to serving plates.

  12. Drizzle with any remaining orange liqueur and serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, if desired.
