Ingredients

  • 4 cucumbers, sliced
  • 1 cup distilled white vinegar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine the vinegar, water, granulated sugar, salt, garlic, and dill. Bring to a boil and stir until the sugar and salt have dissolved.

  2. Place the cucumber slices in a heatproof jar or container.

  3. Pour the hot vinegar mixture over the cucumbers, making sure they are completely covered.

  4. Let the pickles cool to room temperature, then cover and refrigerate for at least 24 hours before serving.

  5. Enjoy these sweet dill pickles as a snack or as a tasty addition to sandwiches, burgers, or salads.
