Serves:

Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 vanilla bean, split and scraped
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine the milk, sugar, vanilla bean, and vanilla extract. Heat over medium heat until the sugar has dissolved, stirring occasionally.

  2. Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the mixture cool for 10 minutes.

  3. Remove the vanilla bean and discard it. Pour the mixture into ice pop molds, leaving a little bit of space at the top for expansion.

  4. Insert popsicle sticks into each mold and freeze for at least 6 hours, or until firm.

  5. To remove the ice pops from the molds, run them under warm water for a few seconds to loosen.
