Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken wings
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp hot sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • 1 green onion, thinly sliced (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. In a small bowl, combine maple syrup, soy sauce, hot sauce, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Set aside.

  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken wings in batches and cook until golden brown and crispy, about 8-10 minutes per side. Transfer the cooked wings to a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.

  4. Place the cooked wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the maple glaze over the wings, making sure they are evenly coated.

  5. Bake the wings in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the glaze is sticky and caramelized.

  6. Optional: Broil the wings for an additional 2-3 minutes to get them extra crispy.

  7. Remove the wings from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes. Serve hot, garnished with sliced green onions.
