  • 8 jalapeno peppers
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Slice the jalapeno peppers lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes.

  3. In a small bowl, mix together the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.

  4. Spoon the cream cheese mixture into each jalapeno half and press the filling firmly.

  5. Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. Fry the stuffed jalapenos until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.

  6. Transfer the fried jalapenos to the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  7. Serve hot and enjoy!
