Preparation: 20 minutes
Cooking: 10 minutes
Total: 30 minutes

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup crab meat, finely chopped
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 24 wonton wrappers
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • Sweet chili sauce, for serving (optional)

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, crab meat, green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

  2. Lay out a wonton wrapper on a clean surface. Place about 1 tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture in the center of the wrapper.

  3. Dip your finger in water and moisten the edges of the wrapper. Fold the wrapper diagonally to form a triangle, pressing the edges to seal.

  4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan or pot to about 350°F (175°C). Fry the wontons in batches until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

  5. Serve hot with sweet chili sauce, if desired.
