How To Make Slow Cooker Butter Chicken

Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1-inch piece of ginger, grated
- 2 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup tomato puree
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp butter
- Fresh cilantro, for garnish
Instructions

In a slow cooker, add the chicken, onion, garlic, ginger, garam masala, turmeric, paprika, cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to coat the chicken.

Pour in the tomato puree and stir to combine.

Cover and cook on low heat for 4 hours.

Stir in the heavy cream and butter until well incorporated.

Cook for an additional 15 minutes on low heat.

Serve the butter chicken over steamed rice or with naan bread.

Garnish with fresh cilantro.
