Ingredients

  • 500g boneless chicken, cut into pieces
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, pureed
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat oil and butter in a pan. Add onions and sauté until golden brown.

  2. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for another minute.

  3. Add tomato puree, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Cook until the oil separates.

  4. Add chicken pieces and cook until they are browned on all sides.

  5. Add garam masala and kasuri methi. Mix well.

  6. Pour in heavy cream and simmer for 10-15 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce thickens.

  7. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with naan or rice.
