  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 lemon, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).

  2. In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, minced garlic, dried oregano, dried basil, dried thyme, dried rosemary, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).

  3. Place the chicken breasts in a baking dish and rub the spice mixture all over them, making sure to coat both sides.

  4. Arrange the lemon slices on top of the chicken breasts.

  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and no longer pink in the center.

  6. Remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving.
